Happy Friday guys! I thought I would throw my face up since I finally have a decent photo of myself. Thank you @katiaforerophotography for taking these for me 🖤 I’ve been trying to cultivate a sense of community for years in this photography industry. I started my business in North Carolina as a young, hardly even adult wife. Then my business transitioned many times through different phases of life. Motherhood, moving, divorce, ext. the industry when I started out was cut throat, it was isolating and competitive. It still is both of those things but now there is a sense of peace surrounding it. . . . . For me, photography has been my way of speaking. Though, when you do it as a career, it’s easy to loose sight of that and get stuck in a routine of “shoot, edit, share” which is why it’s important to me to create a community of creatives/photographers who want to meet up for coffee. Plus, I really enjoy coffee. Preferably, Locally brewed coffee, housed in quaint little coffee shops. . . . . If you’re in the Austin area, what’s your favorite local coffee shop?

Working on Jack’s 1 year session and I HAD to throw this up here. His little hands and legs were BLACK because he refused to stay still for this spot. Basically, I was running around trying to hop in front of him while dad picked him up every 5 minutes and put him back on the blanket. Today was national “world photographer day” so I thought, let’s throw a picture up in the last few minutes of the day and say “heeeeyyy! “ If you’re new here, this is me.. clearly I thought I would look better looking down as if I’m day dreaming about what to take a photo of next.. I am the biggest dork, slightly weird (but in a totally normal way) I am so awkward in front of the camera, I don’t know what to do with my hands🤷🏼‍♀️ - I’m slightly introverted, but I promise I will carry a conversation and photograph you in the next best ways. I will probably act like a moron to get your children (if you have them) to smile, and maybe even you. I like coffee, live PD, crime shows & currently hooked on 90 day fiancé even though I think it’s a crock. It’s super late, and I’m trying to back up images on my computer.
