When Brooke and I first communicated the potential for me to photograph her birth, she asked “can I see a sample of a birth you’ve photographed?” Guys, I had to go upload a gallery because all of the births that I’ve photographed in the last 3 years have been pretty “private”.. Except for one, and that was family & lets face it… I am TERRIBLE about editing personal photos outside of maybe 5 images? .. She told me how sad it made her that it was a common thing she had been hearing from photographers. After talking with her, she decided to move forward with booking me and I meet all of my birth clients for a in-person consultation, so we set it up & met for coffee. We laughed, we chatted, we went over her fears of hiring and investing in a birth photographer. She told me that they didn’t know the gender & that it would be a surprise. So glad you trusted me with your birth, Brooke. Enough chatting, I’ll start sharing these images with you guys.
Gasp, She shot a wedding?! I thought she only shot babies & families. You’re right… Most of what you see is anything evolved around babies. Families, newborn, birth.. Anything babies right? However, if you’ve been around long enough my first love was love… Yeah, thats corny, I get it. It’s totally the truth though. When I first started this gig I was based in Jacksonville, NC & the majority of what I photographed was in fact, couples. When I got pregnant with my son, the shift from couples, children, family went to newborn photography. I freakin’ love babies in case you haven’t figured that out yet, but I do miss couple photography something fierce. So I vowed (pun intended) to shoot more couples, hopefully more weddings, and to fill that cup of my love for love up & pour it out for the world to see. Oh gosh, I sound like a cheesy love song now. Lets just stop right here and show you some dang pictures shall we?
This wedding was the most perfect backyard wedding.. Yeah, you heard that right. BACKYARD WEDDING with FIREWORKS, can you even?! So thankful that I got to throw another wedding under my belt with these two lovebirds. Brandy, thank you for trusting me to photograph your special day ❤
Lindsey was just flawless at her maternity session & her sweet boy was so ready for baby sister to arrive.
I cannot believe I’ve never shared these photos. I don’t get to photograph couples very often. My market is mostly newborn, children & family. If you’ve been around a while you know that I mostly photographed couples when I started my business in North Carolina. I miss getting two people madly in love in front of my camera without any other distractions. This beautiful and favorite location is a plus as well.
Lakeland’s first birthday session was everything I love and more. Splashing in water? I mean come on. Wouldn’t you want to celebrate your birthday splashing in the water? Just me?
Finally, the most recent session I’ve done with the Knicky family. I cannot even fathom how Mr.Crue is already so big. Kara and her family have become some of my favorite clients to date. Every session with them solidifies that for me. Thank you Kara, for choosing me to capture your families greatest milestones.
Here is Mr.Crue Page 2 of the 3 page spread for this beautiful family.
This family will get a three page spread on my blog. I realized I’ve never shared her maternity photos in a full on post before so I just feel obligated to share these with you all before I share the most recent session I’ve done for them.
Mr. William (or Liam as he will officially go by) spent a short lived time in the NICU. I am forever biased when it comes to sweet NICU babies. Not because I had a child personally in one but because I’ve spent a extensive amount of time handling these sweet babies with my previous job. These babies are resilient and though Baby William’s stay was not long, he is still a strong little guy and can you even handle the itty bitty babes that fit so perfectly into your arms? Ya, I cannot either!! Here’s some of Baby William AKA: Liam’s newborn photos.
Ever meet people who just validate that there is still good in the world? I mean, I ‘ll say that I am incredibly blessed to meet some pretty amazing people everyday and I’m lucky enough to be given the opportunity to photograph them. Courtney and Niles are truly some of the sweetest and kindest people I’ve come across in a long time. Even better? They got to bring a sweet baby boy into this world to add such value to our society. Enough of all that mushy talk, lets get to these gorgeous in home lifestyle newborn photos I took for them.
Can you even handle all of that goodness? Henry was so squishy & they are both just so incredibly in love with this little guy.
